Overview

Commission Calculator works out the maximum commission that can be charged by a real estate agent in QLD, Australia in a sale.

Unlike the flat percentages used in other states, the maximum commission on a sale in QLD is more complicated, being calculated as 5% of the first $18,000 plus 2.5% of the balance of the sale price.

There's a shortcut that most agents probably know: add 18,000 to the sale price, then divide by 40. Even this can be a hassle when you want to look professional for clients or prospective buyers.
